Data science – data for science?

After all, the term data science seems like a pleonasm, because what would science be without data? That is why it is all the more important to take a closer look at the handling of data. What does data science have to do in order for data to actually function as scientifically sound sources of knowledge? In line with critical data studies, this talk will take a look at the often difficult relationship between data science and the social sciences, its ethical and social implications.
