Japanese master storyteller Shunpuutei Ichinouske (春風亭一之輔), accompanied by Shunpuutei Pikkari gave a rakugo performance geared at students of Japanese studies.
As an event open to the public, the performance was very well-attended (around 180 people).
German subtitles that had been created by students of the Department for east Asian Studies - Japanese Studies during an advanced translation course in the previous term were used to allow for non Japanese-speaking audience members.
