Abstract
Prophet Joel has his special way to deal with one of the central theological themes such as a Day of YHWH. He uses the words and word-pictures in a variety of their significance with a scope to depict the most important ideas of his prophecy. His use of the language and the metaphors communicate not just the main ideas about the vicinity of the Day of YHWH, his relation to the people of Judah and to the nations of the world, but in an insistent tone, he invites also to the reviewing and questioning the events, facts and believes supposed to be obvious. In such a way he tries to see the reality from the different points of view and he enables to develop a capacity to consider the reality under perspective of its subtle distinguishing.
