Abstract
Some concepts in science and especially physics, in particular, seem to be hard to fully comprehend. A lot of research has been done to find out effective ways to support students when they are being confronted with certain subject matters. A major impact factor that influences how difficult (or easy) a specific concept appears to students is how well the students’ own conceptions match the scientific ideas. In a lot of cases, the students’ ideas are far-removed from the scientific concepts that the teachers want to impart.
