Abstract

This chapter explains how the Japanese government and the hosting authorities in Tokyo are dealing with the educational principles of Olympism. It critically interrogates the agenda of installing Olympic Education Programs in virtually all schools throughout the host city and the country, and it provides insight into the strategic priorities of Japan’s national sport politics.
