Abstract

The role of the Semiregular Variables within the evolution on the Asymptotic Giant Branch is not well understood. As a first step to a systematic investigation on their properties we have selected all well classified SRa and SRb stars from the GCVS for which good quality IRAS photometry is available. A representative subgroup has been observed in the JHKLM-bands already.
