Prendre des risques pour communiquer: le voyage d’études

Cet article propose une analyse du « voyage d’études », mettant l’accent sur l’adaptation de l’initiative de « prise de risques linguistiques ».
Issu d’un contexte bilingue francophone anglophone universitaire, ce projet vise à encourager l’usage actif de la langue dans le pays cible.
Nous verrons dans quelle mesure ce projet est prometteur pour le Français Langue Étrangère (FLE). Par ailleurs, ce texte offre des recommandations didactiques pour les enseignants de français. Une étude menée en 2022 et 2023 illustre certains résultats du projet, mettant en lumière les aspects « bénéfiques » pour les participants d’un voyage d’études.

Linguistic Risk-Taking to Communicate : Short- Term Academic Sojourn Abstract This article analyzes the pedagogical arrangement of the “study trip”, focusing on adapting the “linguistic risk-taking” initiative.
Originating from a bilingual French-English university context, this project aims to encourage the active use of the target language in the target country. We will see how this project is promising for tertiary languages in Europe, including French. Additionally, this text offers didactic recommendations for teachers of French as a foreign language (FLE). A study conducted in 2022 and 2023 illustrates some results of the project, highlighting the development of teaching materials and aspects identified as “beneficial” by participants. Finally, the adaptation of a French language passport for study trips to France is presented as an innovative teaching material for teaching French.
