    Abstract

The transition of molecules from the quantum to the classical world was analyzed. It was found that molecule with 100 atoms can be made to interfere. It was observed that wave interference vanished when the two different position states of the interfering object were correlated with orthogonal internal states. It was shown that molecules could have an atomic mass of one million and still be unaffected by collisional decoherence in a realistic Talbot-Lau interferometers at a pressure of 10-10mbar.
