Queensland Criminal Law

Veröffentlichungen: Buch

Abstract

Queensland Criminal Law seeks to offer fresh and critical perspectives on many issues of contemporary criminal justice in Queensland and present problems in their current and comparative contexts. Rather than provide definitive answers, this book seeks to raise questions about the criminal law in Queensland. Readers are invited to critically reflect on their relationship to the criminal law as citizens, as students, as practitioners and, perhaps, as potential subjects of its sanctions. This book, now in its fifth edition (including two editions published as Queensland Criminal Law: Critical Perspectives), attempts to facilitate the study of the criminal law in this state, to explore and analyse the general principles and specific offences, and to draw comparisons—where relevant—to developments at common law, federal criminal law, and in other jurisdictions.
