Description
Following the recent announcement of the Fermilab g-2 experiment consolidating the long-standing discrepancy between the Standard Model (SM) prediction and the experimental measurement of the muon anomalous magnetic moment, I will discuss one specific part of the SM evaluation, namely hadronic light-by-light scattering (HLbL). I will present a model-independent method to incorporate all available constraints from unitarity, analyticity and crossing at low energies as well as the operator product expansion and perturbative QCD at high energies to obtain a precise estimate. The uncertainty estimate allows to specify which additional information are needed to further improve the SM prediction of HLbL.Period | 31 Aug 2021 |
