Description
Positron emission tomography (PET) revolutionized modern medicine and facilitated the analysis of physiological processes non-invasively in humans. The centre stone of PET are radiopharmaceuticals, which have to be produced on demand due to the short half-times of the radioisotopes. The lecture focuses on the radiochemistry of organic and inorganic radioisotopes and their challenges and applications in medicine.
