Prospects and experimental challenges for matter-wave interferometry with massive metal clusters

Activity: Talks and presentationsPoster presentationScience to Science

Description

This poster presents the technical developments required to perform matter-wave interferometry with metal nanoparticles of masses up to 500,000 atomic mass units. Special focus is given to the material of the metal nanoparticles and its optical properties, as well as the experimental challenges regarding the interferometer alignment, vibration isolation, and pressure requirements.
