Description
Cities in Europe and Asia are currently witnessing a transformation in mobility patterns, in opposite directions. In Europe, as well as North America, cycling is going through a notable come-back after having been marginalised by the development of car-centric infrastructure since the 1950s. In many Asian cities, in contrast, cycling has remained a common practice until recently. If cycling is Europe’s future, then what might it learn from the past and present experiences of cyclists in these Asian cities?
