Research interests

Desirée Schmuck is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Department of Communication at the University of Vienna since October 2014. After her Bachelor studies in Psychology and Communication Science at the University of Zurich she was a Master student in Communication Science at the University of Vienna. Her Master thesis dealt with the effects of right-wing populist posters on the attitudes toward immigrants of young voters. From 2012 until 2014 she was working as project and student assistant for Professor Matthes. Her main interests focus on right-wing populism and political advertising, the effects of political communication on (young) people's attitudes as well as on green advertising.
