Personal profile

Research interests

I am a PhD candidate in landscape- and geoarchaeology at the Department of Prehistoric and Historical Archaeology of the University of Vienna, specialising in interdisciplinary research of sediment archives and in archaeological landscape analysis. My main research interests are the study of landscape histories, human-landscape interactions, formation processes, and chronostratigraphic landscape contexts through interdisciplinary methodological approaches. For my dissertation project “Life of a Landscape”, I am working on the creation of an archaeological landscape biography of the Kreuttal microregion in Lower Austria that focuses on the development of the landscape over the millennia, and the formation processes involved. During my PhD project and associated research activities I am developing skills in (p)OSL profiling and dating, geochemistry, sedimentology, and Historic Landscape Characterisation (HLC).
