Curriculum vitae

Michaela Raggam-Blesch is a historian at the Institute of Contemporary History at Vienna University with a post-doc project on Children of Intermarried Familiesduring the Nazi period in Vienna. From 1999-2003 she worked for the Leo Baeck Institute in New York. She is a recipient of various fellowships: In 2003 she was among the first fellows of the Center for Jewish History and in 2012 she was awarded the APART post-doctoral scholarship of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Michaela Raggam-Blesch was part of the curating team of an exhibition on collection camps in Vienna (“Letzte Orte vor der Deportation”) and curator of the newly opened exhibit on the fate of the Viennese musicians Alma and Arnold Rosé (“Nur die Geigen sind geblieben”) at the House of Austrian History (HdGÖ). She recently received the Elise Richter post-doc scholarship by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF). Main fields of research: Austrian Jewish history of the 19th and 20th century, Autobiography and Memory studies, Oral History and Holocaust Studies.
