abstract = "Der Beitrag gew{\"a}hrt einen Einblick in die {\"A}sthetik im Islam in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart und bietet Ans{\"a}tze, wie diese den Studierenden vermittelt werden kann. Er beginnt mit einem Lehrst{\"u}ck, einer allegorischen Erz{\"a}hlung {\"u}ber eine vision{\"a}re Erfahrung des iranischen Philosophen und Mystikers Shihāb al-Dīn Suhrawardī (gest. 1191), die ein Gef{\"u}hl f{\"u}r die Rolle der {\"A}sthetik in der mittelalterlichen islamischen Philosophie und Mystik vermitteln soll. Es folgen die Besprechung von Aspekten des {\"a}sthetischen Erlebens des Korans sowie die Veranschaulichung verschiedener islamischer {\"a}sthetischer Theorien und Traditionen der islamischen Kunst samt Kostproben {\textendash} unterteilt in Musik, bildende Kunst und Architektur. Die Beispiele sollen pers{\"o}nliche Anteilnahme, Mitwirkung und die subjektive Auseinandersetzung mit {\"a}sthetischen Prozessen im Islam initiieren, die zu einem Er-F{\"u}hlen, Er-Riechen, Er-Schmecken und Er-Leben f{\"u}hren und k{\"o}rperlich-sinnlich und m{\"o}glicherweise sogar emotional wahrgenommen werden. Die solcherart belegte Koexistenz verschiedener Sinneserfahrungen und -modalit{\"a}ten, zu denen auch die wissenschaftliche Schulung geh{\"o}rt, spricht gegen eine monolithische Wahrnehmung der Genese der {\"A}sthetik im Islam {\textendash} und so gilt es, der Vielfalt und Multidimensionalit{\"a}t {\"a}sthetischer Kommunikationsformen im Islam aus einer pluralistisch-offenen, intersensorischen, syn{\"a}sthetischen Perspektive Rechnung zu tragen.",
