Abstract

Abstract— This paper focuses on identifying and analyzing apotential innovative application for the insurance industrythrough the use of networked ubiquitous computingenvironment. In particular, it will describe damage prevention as an exemplary application of ubiquitous computing in theinsurance sector. With respect to such an implementation fordamage prevention, this paper presents a framework fordecision support, considering cost drivers, indicators,parameters, and other influencing factors.Keywords- monitoring system; case study; insurance sector;ubiquitous computing; decision support.
