    Abstract

Besides the measurement of the length and direction of the elementary jump vector, quasielastic neutron scattering (QNS) allows to determine the correlation factor for self diffusion. From the correlation factor conclusions on the diffusion mechanism can be drawn, particularly in intermetallic alloys where different possible jump mechanism are associated to a given jump vector. We present results of measurements on the alloys Ni3Sb, NiGa and CoGa. Π2001 Scitec Publications.
