N2 - The synthesis and characterization of 4,6-benzyliden-2,3-(ferrocene-1,1'-dicarbonyl)-O-methyl-a-D- glucopyranoside, 2,3-(ferrocene-1,1'-dicarbonyl)-O-methyl-a-D-glucopyranoside and 4,6: 2,3-bis(ferrocene-1,1'-dicarbonyl)-O-methyl-a-D-glucopyranoside are reported. In addition the cytostatic activity of 2,3-(ferrocene-1,1'-dicarbonyl)-O-methyl-a-D-glucopyranoside has been assayed.
