Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between fear of evaluation, emotion regulation, and social anxiety in an adolescent sample. It is designed as a longitudinal study and will be conducted via an online survey platform. The sample consists of at least N = 200 adolescents aged 14 to 17 years. Participants are asked to complete a series of questionnaires three times (Time 1 to Time 3) over a six-month period with three-month intervals between measurement points. We will analyze the data using a random intercept cross-lagged panel model to examine prospective associations between variables of interest, establish causal relationships, and test the indirect effect of fear of positive evaluation on social anxiety by the mediator emotion suppression.
