Abstract
17 Students in a 5th grade class at the Projektschule Goldau have been equipped with smartphone in autumn 2009. In November an evaluation took place. An concurrent mixed model design has been applied. Important results are: (1) No change in respect of the pegagogy has been reported. (2) Changes on the microlearning level have been reported. (3) Communication between students and teachers was extended into the leisure time. (4) The smartphone is perceived as an learning for learning by the students.
