The Edgeworth-Kuiper-belt: celestial bodies beyond Neptune

Abstract

A second asteroid belt has been discovered recently in the outer solar system. After a few historical remarks, the dynamics of asteroids in general as well as the dynamical evolution in the Edgeworth-Kuiper belt are studied. Finally, a few observational facts are presented.
