Abstract

We present results from powerful new method to study the structure of dense molecular clouds on an unprecedent column density range of 0.5 <AV <50 magnitudes (1021 <N < 1023 cm-2). The application of the method to Barnard 68 leads to the discovery of the best example in nature of a Bonnor-Ebert sphere.
